Welcome to Wilson Christian Preschool!
Our mission is to develop young children's cognitive, social and spiritual growth in a loving Christian environment.
Thank you for allowing us to serve your child during this very special time in their lives.
We are a faith based, licensed and NAEYC Accredited preschool that provides experiences that enrich each child's cognitive, social and spritual development with caring, experienced teachers in a loving, Christian environment.
Our curriculum is designed to capitalize on your child's natural curiosity and promote development by supplying a rich variety of experiences. Additionally, because preschool is perhaps the first time your child will be seperated from you and familiar surroundings, we will help your child develop appropriate ways of relating to new friends and other adults, to share, and to develop self-control and responsibility in a safe, warm, loving, Christ-centered environment.
Our ratios are two teachers with fourteen children. We are able to distinctly design the environment and teaching methods to meet the specific needs of your child. Children are provided a variety of approaches that helps support growth in all developmental domains and specific content areas. Learning occurs throughout daily planned investigations and play-based activities.
Because children are naturally creative, we offer ample opportunities to enhance their creativity through art, music, and play. Language development, number concepts, and reading readiness will be explored. Fine motor skills and eye-hand coordination are built through finger plays, puzzles, manipulative toys and art activities. Sensory discrimination experiences are provided by comaring and contrasting colors, shapes, and sizes. Large muscles are developed through activities such as running, skipping, jumping , and creative movements. Your child's spiritual development will be enhanced through simple prayers, songs, Bible stories, art projects, and weekly "Chapel Time".
Teachers also use assessments and classroom observations to help create an individual learning plan for your child.
